Route Description – Baldy Pass |

Cross highway from parking lot. Trail follows the edge of a cut block past a logging road on the left to a four-way junction in the trees marked with several large red squares. |

Turn left and head into the valley. At the mouth of a wide side creek spewing stones, cross to the right bank and begin climbing through mossy spruce forest. |

Continue up a 30 vertical metre climb up the open ridge to the south to a cairn marking the trail’s high point. |

From cairn turn north towards Mt. Baldy (about 6 km). |

After reaching summit or stopping point for lunch return back to Baldy Pass trail. |

Turn south along Boundary Ridge then after lunch return to main Baldy trail. |

Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Many Springs trail loop with ample opportunities for flower photography and bird watching. |

After completing the loop trail follow the Elk Flats trail to Middle Lake (2.5 km). Complete the hike with a walk around Middle Lake (2.5 km) and then enjoy a late lunch. |
